It was hot – there is no denying that but actually, once you start you can get over the heat!
We got there around 9.30 – nice friendly team and… read more loads of gym equipment. We booked a one on one lesson (we had been unsuccessful booking on time and the team managed to accomodate us just turning up but ideally get in touch with them by email if you are unable to book online and book a slot,) with Wat who apparently is an ex Thai boxing champ.
As beginners he got us warmed up with some skipping then before we got the gloves on we leant some basic moves. Myself and my daughter took it in turns to do three minutes on/off of kicking, jabbing and a few other moves. We did a good stretch and cool down at the end.
A really fantastic experience for anyone who enjoys fitness. I do a lot of circuit training, and took it easy on the boxing to avoid injury and that helped.
Top tip: Take lots of cold water, a sweat towel and a proper towel as there is a small shower and you will need one at the end! It helps to have someone with you to take the photos and help you with the water once your gloves are on.
July 9, 2019A positive experience with Amazing Muay Thai Gym. They were prompt with their replies. The gym itself is close to Blu Port shopping Centre, a 15mins walk into the parallel… read more Soi. Gym has a good range of fitness and gym equipment, a ring and several heavy bags. Toilets and showers were available and they were clean.
They do not run group classes at the moment and the 2 of us did a personal training session with Kru. It was great as Kru was able to tailor the training to our abilities and needs. Kru helped my friend who is a beginner with her techniques and was very encouraging. He was also very patient and gentle with her during pad work. They also have softer heavy bags for beginners so it doesn’t cause too much discomfort for the newbies while building up their confidence and techniques.
Being an intermediate practitioner, Kru was able to help improve some of my techniques that still needed more work.
We did skipping, shadow boxing, 4 rounds of pad work each, heavy bags, sit ups and stretching. A great way to start off the day!

It was extremely quiet and we were the only ones in the park at 11am, with this number increasing to only 50 people when we were there. This is a clean, well designed, well run water park and it’s lots of fun. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed it and so did I.

We only missed one ride which was a water-board ride where you got pulled around a large lake by an overhead tower and wire setup. Looked great, but we ran out of time.
Prices were OK and this is definitely a place to put on your list if you’re going to be around Hua Hin. If we go back, we’re definitely going to be going here again.
August 23, 2013We took a day trip from our hotel to visit Vana Nava in Hua Hin. Its all pretty new as well so is in good nick. Even for non-Thai speakers it was really easy to get in – they’ve English speakers at the right places so getting the RFID tag for entry access and towels/lockers was pretty simple. Do take your own towel though – most people we saw did just this and so saved a few baht.
There are a few kiosks and places to get stuff to eat and drink which is good too, and a bar if you want something a bit stronger. There were loads of staff about too – safety was obviously something they took seriously as the lazy river had lifeguards covering every inch of it.
We went mid week (and not in a public holiday) and it was still reasonably busy (although not irritatingly so), so I wouldn’t go on a weekend or a public holiday as I suspect it would be rammed.
The only reason for giving it less than 5* was that they’ve not designed some of the ride accesses very well, which means you’ve 4 or 5 slides all going off the same level on a platform. Its hard to know which queue is which and its ends up with people constantly being shuffled around with their rings or floats in hand to try and make space.
